Target Group

  • Girls and young women (ages 10–25)

  • Female mentors and facilitators      

Background & Rationale

Girls and young women in refugee and marginalized communities face multiple challenges including GBV, limited access to safe spaces, and restricted opportunities to express their concerns. Cultural stigma and fear often silence their voices, increasing vulnerability and inequality.

Overall Goal

To empower girls and young women by creating safe spaces for dialogue, learning, and advocacy on gender equality, GBV prevention, and rights awareness.

 

Specific Objectives

  1. Provide safe and confidential spaces for girls

  2. Increase awareness on gender equality and GBV

  3. Strengthen girls’ confidence and leadership skills

  4. Promote community dialogue on girls’ rights

Key Activities:

  • Safe space dialogue sessions

  • GBV awareness workshops

  • Mentorship and peer support groups

  • Creative expression activities

Expected Outcomes

  • Increased confidence and self-expression among girls

  • Improved awareness of rights and protection mechanisms

  • Strong peer support networks

  • Reduced stigma around speaking out
