Who We Are
Meaning of Our Name
“Most Of Us” symbolizes collective responsibility, inclusivity, and community-driven action. It reflects our belief that meaningful and sustainable change happens when the majority—especially marginalized voices—are involved in shaping solutions for their own development.
Most Of Us (MOU) is a registered community-based organization based in Kakuma Refugee Camp, Turkana West, Kenya. We aim to empower youth and marginalized communities to become active agents of social, economic, and environmental transformation.
Our Story
In the heart of Kakuma refugee camp, where resilience meets hope, the Most of Us organization was born. Our journey began with a passionate young woman from the Democratic Republic of Congo who, after finding refuge in the United States, carried with her the memories and experiences of life in Kakuma.

Mission
To empower youth and underrepresented groups especially refugees and host communities
through participatory programs, creative storytelling, and climate action that promote self-reliance, civic engagement, and sustainable development.

Vission
A thriving and sustainable future where youth are catalysts for climate action, economic growth, and social transformation.
